Applied Psychology, BA (New York)

The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology provides students with an understanding of the biological, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive factors influencing human health and well-being.  Students develop writing and communications skills and apply research methods and analytic techniques to advance their own research. The program is a series of courses centered on developing students' understanding of the determinants of behavioral health, theories and practices related to ameliorating mental health problems, and promoting health and wellness. Each student is required to complete a core course sequence including courses in biology, basic and applied psychology, and health sciences.

This program is currently only available to former Marymount Manhattan College students who are eligible for continued enrollment at Northeastern University. This program includes required courses that will be taught on ground at the Northeastern New York City campus.

BA Language Requirements

All BA students are required to complete the BA degree language requirements, for a total of 12 semester hours of language study or demonstrated equivalent proficiency, as described in Additional Requirements for BA students. Successful demonstration of proficiency does not reduce total minimum semester hours of study required to earn the BA degree.

All undergraduate students are required to complete the NUpath Requirements.
