Health Equity, Minor

The health equity minor consists of three core courses along with one elective course, which prepare students to work effectively in diverse healthcare and public health settings. The minor offers an opportunity to develop strong leadership and advocacy skills in tandem with a commitment to social justice principles. This interdisciplinary program is designed to cultivate analytical skills used to evaluate health inequities and to equip students with the capacity to propose evidence-based solutions to reduce health inequities. Coursework within the minor seeks to promote awareness, empathy, and community-centered approaches to healthcare and public health.
