Marine Sciences, Minor

The marine sciences minor is designed to provide Northeastern undergraduates with a strong foundation in the marine sciences, while offering the opportunity to obtain concrete skills that will enhance employability. Our minor curriculum also offers the flexibility to take classes in the area of greatest interest to the student and provides hands-on training in foundation marine science courses.

Restrictions

Students are permitted to double count a maximum of 50% of the credits required for a minor from their major, transfer credit, or advanced standing credit. Accordingly, this minor is not available for students who major in Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, Marine Biology, and all combined majors with these programs.
