The Online Master of Science in Management program at Northeastern University's D’Amore-McKim School of Business is designed to prepare students with the business knowledge and specialized expertise needed to advance in a competitive, rapidly evolving marketplace. Through online coursework, students tailor their studies to their professional goals while developing a strong foundation in core management principles.
Required core coursework covers four essential business domains: managing organizations, data-driven management, strategy and growth, and finance and operations. This structure ensures that students without a business background build foundational skills, while those with relevant experiences deepen their knowledge through advanced coursework.
Customization and Concentrations
Much of the curriculum consists of elective coursework, enabling students to customize their degree through D’Amore-McKim’s extensive portfolio of graduate-level courses. An optional market-aligned concentration allows students to refine their expertise and strengthen their professional focus.
Experience-Powered Learning
Many courses in the online curriculum incorporate project-based learning and case studies that connect theory to real-world practice. Students may also pursue optional experiential and travel-based opportunities offered through the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, such as the Global Field Study and the Washington, D.C. Residency, subject to availability.
