International Management, MS (Boston)

The Master of Science in International Management program at Northeastern University's D’Amore-McKim School of Business is designed to prepare students to lead across borders by developing cultural agility, global leadership skills, and business expertise to navigate international markets, manage multinational teams, and drive strategic growth in a globally interconnected economy.

Students have an opportunity to build the skills to assess complex global business environments and make informed strategic decisions across cultures and markets. Through coursework, they gain exposure to international strategy, cross-cultural management, global marketing, and geopolitical and economic analysis. Students explore how to enter new markets, lead multinational teams, manage global operations, and drive sustainable growth in an interconnected global economy.

Experiential learning is at the heart of the program. Students connect classroom theory with real-world practice through hands-on and travel-based electives such as the Global Field Study and the Washington, D.C. Residency. These experiences build critical thinking skills and prepare students to navigate the challenges organizations face when operating across borders and cultures. Core courses emphasize cultural agility, leadership, and workforce management, while students explore topics ranging from international trade to the globalization of the world economy.

Students may also tackle real business challenges through the “Make Your Case” consulting project. In this immersive experience, they develop storytelling and case-writing skills while gaining direct exposure to their chosen industry.
