Dance, Minor

The dance minor is designed for students who wish to experience the art of dance from an academic and experiential perspective while engaged in another major. No audition or experience is required. The minor provides a foundation in histories and practices of dance and its trajectory as a social and cultural phenomenon.

Students may audition out of Dance As an Art Form for Nonmajors (DANC 1050) with faculty approval. Please contact the dance department to inquire. Students who audition out of Dance As an Art Form for Nonmajors (DANC 1050) must complete 8 semester hours from the dance electives section instead.
