The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study with Concentration in Primary Care Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner offers nurse practitioners with certification in a different specialty the opportunity to prepare for practice providing high-quality adult primary care services as an adult-gerontology NP. Adult-gerontology NPs provide services to individuals across most of the life span in clinics, private practices, home care, long-term care, and day programs.
Students are required to complete practicum hours in a clinical site. Upon completion of the primary care program, graduates are eligible to sit for the adult-gerontology certification exam.

To ensure that all students have the foundation necessary to be successful in this program, each incoming student, regardless of the student's background, must have completed coursework in the following areas with a minimum grade of B:
